Step Drills
• Start in an athletic position
• Step laterally up onto the step with both feet and down on the opposite side, continue back and forth gradually increasing the speed of movement
• Keep head at the same level, it should not move up and down
• Set up in an athletic position with the steps spaced appropriately
• Keep head level at all times
• Hop so feet land on the steps at the same time with one foot on the front step and one on the back
• Alternate feet and hop as quickly as possible
• Hop up so feet land on the steps at the same time
• Hop as quickly as possible
• Alternate hops: Split Hop – Straddle Hop
• Alternate the front and back foot on each split hop
• On each split hop rotate 90 degrees alternating feet, doing a complete circle
• Repeat in the opposite direction
