Separation Progression Tee

Instructions

• Hitter progresses through three stages using a tee
• Tee set up in front of the middle of the plate
• Stage 1: Hitter stands with feet close together, hands start in the middle of body.
• Stage 2: Hitter stands with feet halfway between their regular start point and Phase 1 Same emphases and object as Phase 1
• Stage 3: Hitter progresses to standard stance
• The objective is to hit the ball back through the middle
• The focus is on proper sequencing through the loading and weight transfer phase Proper execution is when the hands move back as the body strides forward
• This drill is great for hitters that lack proper sequencing and don’t use lower and upper half properly
• Hitter should perform 5 reps at each stage before moving to the next stage
