90/45/Even Progression Tee
Instructions
• Hitter progresses through three stages using a tee
• Tee set up in front of the middle of the plate
• Stage 1: Hitter stands open at a 90 degree angle to the tee Focus is on keeping the front shoulder closed, not flying open When working at the 90 and 45 degree angle feet are shoulder width and drill is completed without a stride
• Stage 2: Hitter stands at a 45 degree angle
• Stage 3: Hitter progress to standard batting stance
• This drill is great for hitters that need help loading into their back hip or that fly open with their front shoulder
• Hitter should perform 5 reps at each stage before moving to the next stage
